As you probably know, between August 5 – August 13, Rogers Cup presented by National Bank will showcase in Toronto the best WTA players in the world.
Tennis Canada is still looking for a few more volunteers to join their Transportation Committee and other Volunteer Committees.
Transportation Committee Information
Please note that you must be 25 or older to be part of this Transportation Committee.
This committee deals with driving tournament guests for tournament-specific purposes. This includes players, their families, coaches, officials, sponsors, media and other tournament specific tasks. We typically serve the airport, the tennis centre, the official hotels (one in Markham, one in downtown Toronto) and other locations as required.
We provide the fleet vehicles (either our soon-to-be-announced sponsor vehicles or minivans) so you would start/end your shift at the Aviva Centre where we provide parking (free for volunteers). For morning shifts, you can also have the option of starting at the Hilton Suites hotel (Hwy 7 & Warden) or the Hilton Toronto hotel (Richmond Str. & University Ave.). Parking is free at the Hilton Suites, however, we cannot provide parking at the downtown hotel. If you start your shift at a hotel, we will provide transportation for you back to your starting point.
The volunteer commitment for the Transportation Committee is 42 hours, which works out to 7 shifts. We ask that you make yourself available for 12 of the 34 possible shifts that we offer - generally 3 shifts a day between Aug 5 and 16 inclusive, of which we then assign you to 7 shifts [or more if you are interested].
If you are interested, please email Jason @ email@example.com for more instructions.
Other Volunteer Committee Information
Please note that you must be 16 or older to be part of any other Volunteer Committee.
If you are interested in volunteering for other Volunteer Committees at the Rogers Cup, please visit http://www.rogerscup.com/tournament-info/volunteers/ for more details.
The volunteer commitment for the Rogers Cup is generally a minimum of 42 hours over the course of the tournament (to consist of either six 7-hour shifts or seven 6-hour shifts depending on committee).
All volunteers (Transportation or any other committee) at the Rogers Cup will receive a volunteer package that generally consists of the following:
If you are interested in all other committees excluding the Transportation Committee, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for information.
